Follow-up: William and Julia are on the 1900 census in Campbell County. My grandmother, Lucy Smith Walker verified the correctness of the census record before she died.On the census record, children are listed as Louisa, Flora, Robbert (my grandfather)and Nancy.I couldn't located William after 1900, so I started checking death records.I came up with a TVA burial removal for a William Walker who died in 1901.He had originally been buried at Rutherford Cem. in Anderson County, and moved to New Loyston Cem.(TVA removal).Nancy Hunley of Maynardsville, Union County, signed for his grave removal.I looked for information on her, and found that her name was Nancy Walker Hunley. She also signed for grave removal for Samuel, Harvey, and Phoebe.I'm looking for information on William previous to his marriage to Julia. If you come up with any information, please share. I appreciate being able to exchange information with you.
In addition to the above, I began looking for records on Julia Perkey. The only record that I can find that fits is in Granger County in 1870.Mary Perkey is listed without a husband.Children are Pleasant, Julia, and Nancy. If this is the right family, what happened to George?
I was born in Logan County, W.Va.Walter Aaron Walker (son of Robbert) and Dolly Mae Combs are my parents.Seems like the Walkers and Rutherfords have close family ties.
Happy Holidays.Karen Walker Bauer, Palm Bay, Florida.
