Three brothers John, James and Edward Purser, all born around 1800 in Sussex/Kent, England have descendants in USA, Canada and Australia.
James Purser went to Canada in the 1840s with his family.
Edward Purser was a soldier and remained in Australia after leaving his regiment in 1835.
John remained in England, he moved to Surrey and his surname became Purcey. At least two of his sons went to Michigan, USA with their families. There are now many descendants of these Purcey immigrants in the US.
Two descendants, one from Canada and one from Australia, have recently participated in the Purser DNA project. As expected they matched 25 markers out of 25 tested confirming their common ancestry.
