Thanks for replying and I will forward more details later, but for the moment: 1.There were two David Gordons - emigrant and son. 2.Glengowan and Millbrae are at Moorilda (formerly Tea Pot Swamp), south of Bathurst just past Newbridge. 3.The White Rock property (DG junior) is called "Penrose" and it was originally owned by Robert Flanagan. DG jnr married his daughter Margaret, and she later married Wat Hunt."Penrose" is now owned by Michael Hunt. 4.There is a plaque to DG emigrant and Matilda Purvines on the Bathurst heritage wall. 5. The 1908 mariage was between Edith and David William Thomas Gordon (known as 'Tom'), a son of David & Matilda's second son Thomas. This second son was the first of the clan to be born on Australian soil. 6.I don't know about speaking Gaelic - being Presbyterian, I would have thought English with a Scottish accent would have been sufficient to confuse the emigration clerk.
