Based on your Bible record and census records I agree that Sarah Puryear (born about 1810), daughter of Robert Harmon Puryear, is not your Sarah Ann.
From recent research I have come up with two possibilities, both sons of Robert Harmon Puryear. The first is James Robert and Mary Mildred Ann Moore Puryear who have a unidentified daughter in the 1830 census who would be the right age. This family was busy moving to Kentucky about the time your Sarah Ann married Thomas Chandler so they are my second choice.
My first choice is Harmon and Mary Jane Overby Puryear. They have an unidentified daughter in the 1830 census who would be the right age. This couple was married in Halifax County, Virginia on 25 Jan 1813. Mary Jane Overby seems to have died before 1830 and Harmon married Nancy Overby (may be a sister)in Granville County before 1831. You may have noted that a David Overbey is the bondmaker for your Sarah Ann's marriage bond dated 8 Nov 1837.
Before the 1850 census it is sometimes difficult to identifyfemale children.
