Samuels Clemons Putney, (husband of Martha K. Shumway, father of Lucy Ann Putney, Lucretia Putney and Sarah Elizabeth Putney) is recorded as simply 'PUTNEY'
Lucretia Putney, second wife of Peter Rose (both Lucretia Putney Rose and husband are listed), she had no children.
* Sarah Elizabeth Putney Cobb, wife of George Nelson Cobb transcription error/listed as 'COFF' Sarah died in Minneapolis, Hennepin county, Minnesota (I have a copy of her death certificate which records her place of burial as Charles City, Iowa; person supplying information for Sarah was son George Freeman Cobb).Children of Sarah Elizabeth Putney and George Nelson Cobb were1. Martha Lurena Cobb, 2. Osgood C. Cobb (my great grandfather), 3. George Freeman Cobb and 4. Harriet "Hattie" Cobb (listed in 1880 census as "Birdie")
Martha "Mattie" Lurena Cobb, daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Putney and George Nelson Cobb, never married, she died in Minneapolis, Minnesota (I have a copy of her death certificate which records her place of burial as Charles City, Iowa; person supplying information for Martha was brother-in-law Franklin B. Shekels, husband of Martha's sister, Harriet "Hattie" Cobb). While Mattie is not listed I am reasonably sure she would have been buried near her parents in the Riverside Cemetery. She was buried in Charles City, Iowa!(It is probable, with more looking needed to prove, that Martha K. Shuway, wife of Samuel Clemons Putney is also buried here).
* Sarah was listed as Sarah A. Putney in census' prior to her marriage, and also in marriage announcement in Waukesha county, Wisconsin, After her marriage she is listed with middle initial "E", or the middle name Elizabeth, the middle name Elizabeth is also used on her death certificate, this is the same person, on death certificate her parents are listed as "father: Samuel C. Putney, mother: Martha K. Shumway"
