Did your grandfather Paddy have a sister Nelly and was his father's name Mick?? If so, then there is a strong possibilty that he is a first cousin of my late father (Dave Pyne - Glanworth). I've also been doing some digging recently - specifically for my father's (and possibly your grandfather's) grandfather - also a Patrick from Fermoy/Glanworth - who married Mary Condon in 1879.They had six children, Jane, Michael (Mick), Daniel, Mary , Bridget (Biddie) and John (Jack).Family folklore has it that Patrick emigrated to the US sometime in the 1890s or early 1900s but "must have fallen overboard!!" as he was never heard from again. If any of this rings a bell, perhaps we should compare notes.
