This is not my family.I'm trying to help identify the father of two sisters listed on the 1880 census of Woodford Co., IL, as Anna E., 11, & Otilie, 7,QUASET.I can find no records for QUASET, so I wonder whether the name was QUAST.Anna & Otilie were in the household of Andrew KUNKEL / KUNKLE & Elisabetha.Andrew and parents, Adam & Margaret, were of Woodford Co., IL, in 1860; then of Marshall Co., IL, 1870, when Andrew's wife was Christina. Then, he had returned to Woodford Co. by 1880.Children in 1870 were Prosper and Rosie, and in 1880, Bross & Rosina. So, my "needle in a haystack" is a male QUASET (or some similar name) who died in the vicinity of Woodford Co., IL, after the birth of Otilda/Otilie, ca. 1873.Otilda was called stepdaughter of Andrew KUNKLE in 1900, Platte Co., NE.Ken WILTZ of Illinois says Adam KUNKEL's wife was Maggie BETNER [BITNER?].
