I have a copy of a 1949 obituary from the Cleveland Plain Dealer about Don P. Quelos. It states that he is a "descendant of two pioneer families". It says he died at Huron Rd. Hospital. It states his parents and says, "both parents were of stock which dated back to the early years of Cleveland." It also says, "His father was a proofreader for the Plain Dealer". He worked as a lithographer in Cleveland at the Morgan Lithograph company until the turn of the century. Then he lived in Massilon, Ohio and worked for 33 years as a lithographer at the Cleveland-Massillon-Akron Lithograph co. He retired in 1944. " Surviving are his son, Ralph B. Quelos of Avon Lake, Ohio general sales manager for the chemical and pigments division of Glidden Co; one grandchild and a sister,Mrs. W.E. Rice." Then it states the services and that he will be buried at Riverside cemetery in Cleveland. I also know from a painting that I saw, That Don P. was quite a good artist! I know this is alot of info, but I hope it is helpful. To get more info easily, go to www.cpl.org. This is the Cleveland Public Library website. Choose necrology files or obituary files, then type in Quelos, and you will get some info. I should have asked in the first place....Are you related to Quelos?
