Jim,Thanks for the information.I'm looking forward to receiving your file of Quillinan ancestors.
I'm afraid that I know very little about my Quillinans except that they originated in Carron.Catherine Quillinan married John Cavanagh whose son Gilbert was captain of the Bohercrowe Football team (representing Tipperary) that won the All Ireland in 1889.
Catherine died young in 1874 (aged 42 per her death cert.) In trying to trace connections.Tipperary Heritage Unit has supplied me with the Baptismal Records of three families namely.
John Quillinan and Mary Power(Tipperary Parish) with 8 baptisms between December 1816 and May 1839.This includes a Catherine who may be my line.
Patrick Quillinan and Margaret Doolan (Tipperary Parish) - 3 children between August 1804 and Sept 1811
Patrick Quillinan and Catherine Ryan (Raheen) 8 children between April 1845 and May 1866
If you do not have these already I can post them.
I also have the Tithe Applotment records for the Carron Quillinans (circa 1829) and the Griffiths Records for Raheen Upper, Bohercrowe, Carron and Tipperary. If you do not have these already I will send these also.
Have you an e-mail address where I can contact you.You are very welcome to what I have.
I presume you have checked the Mormon web site. There are a lot of Quillinans which may be of interest to you including the marriage of a Robert Fruin(Frewen) to a Johanna Quillinan. The Frewens are listed in Carron in 1851 Griffiths.
