Bryan,
I will get a copy of the will out to you tomorrow.I will also send a copy of the "Inventory of the Estate of John Railey Decd, 19th Dec. 1785"- Thomas Railey is mentioned on it.I also have several other items, mostly pertaining to Daniel Mayo Railey (son of Martin Railey) if you are interested. One is a handwritten Division order dated April 29th, 1834 at Abingdon- "Daniel M. Railey esq. is hereby appointed Division Inspector of the 5th division of the Militia of Virginia, with the brevit rank of Lieut. Colonel of Infantry, and will be obeyed and respected accordingly.Signed by David Campbell- Major General 5th Division."There are two Mayos in my family tree, neither of which I have much information on.I don't have any information about Elizabeth that married Martin Railey except her birth and death dates. The other Mayo is Louise J. Mayo who married Jeremiah Vardaman Cockrell (1817-1859).He was my g-g-grandfather and family records state that she was the daughter of a H. B. Mayo who was a judge in Virginia.I would appreciate any information about the Mayo's and about Mary Isham's ancestry back to Charlemagne. My address if Caroline Wied, P. O. Box 1645, Edinburg, TX 78540.
P.S. Let me know if you are interested in anything about Daniel Mayo Railey or his descendents.
Thanks again.
