Pat, I seem to remember it's about a two or three hour drive from Athens to Pangrati. I believe that the Vlagos family has a reunuion every August in Pangrati. So if you time your trip right you may be able to meet several relatives there. I went to the Village in 1992 and really liked it, but I was lucky enough to have my uncle there from Wheaton on vacation (he grew up in Pangrati) and he could speak to me in english and show us around the area. I think that the Dena that you are talking about was my grandmother Veneta Vlagos Georgas. She lived next door to me in Wheaton. Are you the daughter of Helen Raklios and Don Akers? I have done extensive research on John Raklios. He was quite a big name in the Vlagos family history.
