I would love some help, as I seem to be stuck. I found my great grandfather, Alvino Ramirez, in the 1900 US Census, living in Texas around Goliad. I found him using microfilm of the actual 1900 census in Texas, that I found in the Dallas Public Library. He listed his birth year as 1851 and said he was born in Texas.I found his grave in a private graveyard along a bend of the San Antonio river near Goliad. He died on Feb 14, 1914. Near the grave are several other graves with the surname of Cabrera. These are relatives of Alvino's first wife, Jesusa Cabrera. He was married several times. In his household at the 1900 census were his most recent wife Maria and my granfather Alfredo aged 6 (born 11-1893).The other siblings were Sepreana (9-1880), Laureta (8-1885), Marguarette (5-1887), Peter (2-1895), and Casirino (3-1899). According to family oral tradition Alvino operated a meat market and bakery in Goliad, and there was some mention of him having been with a circus. I have been using the online search sites (e.g. familysearch) but they have come up with a lot of Alvino Ramirez who do not match any of the dates above, not even the 1900 census records that I found in the Dallas public library.
Can anyone recommend the best online search site out there, that is complete and comprehensive? And, by any chance, do any of you know about Alvino Ramirez?
