Line 24 begins household 34, headed by John Rankin, born 1849. No wife listed beneath his name, but in the same household, Angus Rankin (b 1863), Allie A (wife, b 1875), and Catie A Rankin (daughter, b Feb 1 1900).
...and enlarging the image, my GUESS is that line 23 could read Ellen Ann, born June 1875.
I'm wondering if Ellen is Allie is "E?", and if Katie A is Catie A is your grandmother.
(My curiosity is higher because I was born in Inverness; my maternal grandmother is Annie Belle Rankin, daughter of John "Iain Alasdair" Rankin, son of Alexander, son of Angus, son of John "the General" Rankin.
Not to throw you off your path, since you have a different date for Catherine Ann's birth. However, I've seen a photocopy of one census form that has a great-uncle of mine born 17 years before his father; quite a feat.
