I found a census record that you may be interested in.The 1850 census for Augusta Co., VA (taken 13 July 1850) pg. 272:
Allison Ransbottom28 M Laborer VA Margaret A. "26 FVA Eliza J."13 FVA Louisa C."12 FVA Mary E."9 FVA John"6 MVA Sarah A."5 FVA Henrietta"4 FVA George W."3 MVA
I also found a marriage record that I think fits, but the name is spelled a little different (though I can find no other mention of this spelling): Allison Ransbarger + Margaret Ann Hemp married March 30, 1837 in Augusta County, VA by John C. Hensell - a Luthern minister.
The person I was looking for was Elizabeth J. Ronslaten whose parents were Elias and Margaret Ronslaten and married James W. Glass (information from my uncle).Since I can find no mention of Ronslaten anywhere, I am thinking that it is a misinterpretation ofspelling and that Ransbottom is what I was looking for.
