This book is not in the public domain, but apparently the author or her publisher, or both, has authorized that snippets be shown in response to searches.Be assured these snippets are only a snippet of the occurrence of a given search parameter (that is, other occurrences will be omitted sometimes many other ones), but it is still a useful starting place prior to asking for lookups here as has been done previously. So go to Google Books and see it and while you are there check other names that you would love to know if they are included in some book in the collection, as of yet (the collection is ongoing and changes markedly, for I have noticed in the past year or two an increase in legal reference books for lawyers, where ancient cases involving one's patronym have begun to increase greatly in number).
Many of the books in the public domain at Google Books (found from anywhere by going to Google and seeking its additional offerings by clicking on the icon for that) are fully downloadable as scans and readily convertible to simple text from which you can lift quotes with little difficulty.
For the main book on our American southern Ratchfords, but only for snippets from some lesser portion of that book, probably changing from search parameter to search parameter, see:
and use the "Search in this book" search engine on that page.
Remember that this seems to be only from a potion of the book but it is still of some use for quick reference (but it is not definitive by a long shot!).Also take note of the "places mentioned" map at the bottom of the page which is interesting as well but seems likewise not to be fully comprehensive from the book's entries.
