M.C. Lilley and Co. produced swords from 1865 to 1882. They had produced swords up to 1865 (from 1850?) under the name Mitchell C. Lilley. They produced mostly Society Swords; (Masons, K of C, etc)some Regulation Cavalry Swords and Theatrical Swords. In 1882 M.C. Lilley died and the company name changed to The M.C. Lilley and Co. So the sword you have may be a Society Sword built somewhere between 1865 and 1882.They were located in Columbus, Ohio.
