Since I posted that I think I did discover that Orange and Catherine are part of the 1730s' New England McCrellis/McCrillis tree.My McCrellis/McCrellias immigrant was James M'Crelis/McCreles/etc., who at age 18 arrived in America in June 1798 (height of the Ulster Rebellion) and settled in PA.In very early 1800s was in Westmoreland Co., PA.His only known son John and John's many children moved from Westmoreland Co. PA to Quincy, IL area, and then to Davenport, IA/Rock Island, IL. area. From there descendants have spread to Colorado, California, etc.
What is interesting to me is that my gr-grandfather Peter Madison McCrellias (son of John) had a brother named Foster McCrellias. (Foster is one of a few of Peter's siblings who changed to the McCrellis spelling.)
There is also a separate family of McCrellis/McCrelles that settled in the very early 1800s in South Carolina, as I recall.
