As I mentioned before, we have a Redner DNA Surname Project going on with Family Tree. We now have results from three Redners who have Redner ancestors from Orange County, NY.To our surprise, none of us match each other. (I had sent in my Dad's DNA) Since the test only follows the male line, this means that we do not have a common male ancestor. (We could still have a common female ancestor). We are broadening our search for Redners to other parts of the country. We are interested in any male with the Redner surname, or similar surname, such as Ridenour, Rednor, or Ridnor. The test provides helpful information to anyone who is trying to put together a family tree on their Redners. It is also very easy to do. I appreciate everyone who has contacted me so far. If you would like to check on the Family Tree web site for more information about what they do, the address is www.familytreedna.com.
