Adam Reeb the immigrant ancestor of the Reeb family that you descend from in Erie County, NY was confirmed in the Reformed Church 4 May 1815...so his family would have been Reformed.By Reformed I do not mean Lutheran and they were not Catholic. There were three different Reeb families to have lived in Erie County, NY that I know of. Besides the descendants of Adam (your family) there was also Meno Alexander Reeb family.Meno A. Reeb was actually born in Ontario, Canada to a family which came from Zutzendorf, Bas-Rhin, France (Alsace). The other Reeb family that settled in Erie County was a Nicolaus Reeb who came sometimes before 1840 from the town of Voellerdingen, Bas-Rhin, France (western Alsace).Nicolaus may have came with three of his grown children and their families. Two daughters and one son.The son may or may not have left descendants..so far I have not located any; however, his daughter Margaretha was married to a Friedrich Knab and left descendants. Also, his daughter Eva Reeb married in Vollerdingen to Philipp EVA...making her name Eva EVA.Before leaving France, Philipp EVA and Eva (Reeb) Eva had two children born in Oermingen, Bas-Rhin, France and they may have had others in New York.Accompaning the Reeb family, besides Philipp Eva the son-in-law of Nicolaus Reeb was the father of Philipp (also named Philipp EVA) and some children of Philipp EVA srs. brother, Adam Eva.Please do not be confused...these other Reebs in Erie County are not part of your direct ancestry and may or may not be very distant kin to your ancestor Adam Reeb.
