"Mr. and Mrs. E. Rendle - 59 Years
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rendle, Route 3, will observe their 59th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Mr. Rendle, son of the late Alfred an Lydia Hughston Rendle, and Beatrice M. Rendell, daughter of the late Arthur ad Mae Cummings Rendell, were married April 9, 1936, in Brownville.
Honor attendants were Mary Rendell, Watertown, sister-in-law of the bride, and the late Fred Rendell, brother of the bride.
Mrs. Rendle, a native of Chaumont, was a waitress in the Great Bend area for several years.
Mr. Rendle was bron in the home in which the couple is living.He served with the Air Force during World War II and was employed by the town of Champion.He was later employed at Fort Drum before retiring due to ill health.
Mr. Rendle is a member of the Black River American Legion.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Rendle are members of the Woolworth Memorial Methodist Church, Great Bend.
The couple has a daughter, Mrs. Linold (Roselyn) Hall Jr., Great Bend.They also have three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A grandson died in 1973, and a great-granddaughter died in 1977."
