Hi Charlotte, Sorry to have caused consternation; all these Thomas's and Nicolas's are quite confusing. Let me tell you what I have and the parishes and we can try to sort them out as it is highly likely that there will be a connection. My source was my cousin who lives in England who went through all the parish records.However I see that the 1 crucial marriage is unproven [ I went back to his original notes] so I may well have it wrong.If so I'm sorry to have caused distress. Ms Gallienne at the Priaulx library has helped me with other family and I know she is very good at unscrambling things.
gen 1 James Renouf m Elizabeth Le Petit7 Aug 1721 at St Andrews. She was d o Pierre le Petit and Elizabeth Marquand and was bapt 27 Nov 1702at the Town Church. She was buried 31 Jan 1794 at St Andrews.We havent been able to confirm James birth or death but think death was 24 11 1737. They lived in farm called Monnaie/ Monnee de Bas.
gen 2 there were 4 children all bapt at St Andrews James b and d 1723; Elizabeth bap 27 12 1724 d 17 v4 1807 m James Arnold 17 12 1747; Nicolas bapt 30 1 1726 d 8 5 1811 m Elizabeth de Garis 23 11 1749 and built house called Monnaie de Haut.[ he is my line]; Thomas bapt 14 9 1731 who m Elizabeth Gavet31 1 1762 at St Saviours. Among the godparents for these 4 children wereNicolas Renouf; Thomas le Petit; Elizabeth Le Noury and Cecile Robert.
gen 3 Thomas and Elizabeth Gavet had 7 children tho at least 2 died young. They were bapt at St Andrews. Thomas bapt 1 12 1762 Thomas bpt 30 1 1765 Nicolas bapt 16 4 1767 m Elizabeth Heume 21 5 1791 Elizabeth bapt 25 11 1769 James bapt12 8 1772 m Marguerite Le Lacheur St Andrews Thomas b 17 7 1775 m Marie Machon 10 3 1798 Town Church Marthe b 22 3 1778 [ Nicolas and Elizabeth continued on the land at St Andrews as did their eldest son]

gen 5 I then have children of Rachel and Nicolas as we agree on dates and place[ St Martins bapt.]
