Sue:
I appreciate you getting in contact with me. If you should want to e-mail in private my address id [email protected]
Over the last five (5) months I have been tracing the Revell families of England in an attempt to located my anchestor, Randall Revell, who can to the Colony of Virginia in 1632. I have been sucessful in locating his father who was a member of the Revell family from Carnfield. However, while performing my trace I uncovered many other Revell family members that I have been able to successfully connect together. Presently, I am working on the Revells of Yorkshire.
Mike mentioned that you had papers and will of some of these Revell family members. As I consider Wills a primary resouce, I try to collect and decipher as many as possible to lend credance to my research and offer proper documentation for those that my follow.
To this end, I presently have over 14 Revell wills, but none from Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Revell clan make up a very large part of that family. I will go back into my papers and locate where I saw Hugh's will and acquire a copy. When I do I will send both you and Mike a copy.
Presently, my eyesight is failing due to cataracts both I believe that they will be removed by the end of this summer. If my sight returns as good as it was several years ago, I will send you a copy of the original will and a transcribed typed version that will be much easier to read.
I do appreciate orginal copies of whatever is available rather than particle snipets of data taken from the original document. To this end I would like copies of Wills or important documents that you may have. Naturally, I will reimburse all expenses in whatever manner you request. And I am willing to share all work with you.
Ihave developed a Master Chart of the English Revell family that somewhat matches that of Gladwyn M. Revell Turbutt of Ogston Hall and thus found in Joseph Hunter’s Familiae Minorum Gentium.
For now my biggest problem centers on or around Gregory Revell de Stannington of York, Armiger, 22 Henry VIII
(1531) and his brother Richard Revell who removed to Brampton-en-le-Morthen at Cold Aston in the Parish of Treeton, County York. I appear to have confused the children of each and this has me in a dilemma. That is why I seek all the document concerning the Revells of Yorkshire, so that I can clean up my errors.
