I don't know a lot about Monroe Revis, Sr. I don't know where in Alabama he lived or was killed. I was told that my grandmother Mary Louise Swords Revis Bagwell, was notified that he had been killed and she went to Alabama for a short while. I don't even know where Monroe is buried. I would love to have a newspaper article on his death but I haven't found one yet. Any idea of the date of his killing?
Monroe and Mary had 5 children. They were James Revis, Monroe Revis, Jr., R.B. Revis, Ellen (married a Moore), and Ruth Elizabeth (married Clarence Alexander).
Monroe, Jr. and Ruth are still living. Monroe was a prisoner of war during the Korean War. Both he and Ruth live in Norris, SC. I'm gonna talk to Ruth in a few days. Maybe she can help answer a few questions about her family.
