Thanks for remembering me and always for the info.
Many questions over your post on the marriage between Jean Mousseau & Marie Amable Ricard. If the Jean you seek was born in 1721, Jean's age (81 years old) when he married Marie-Amable - and then went and had 4 children!Which means Jean Mousseau was at least 90 yrs old when he last child, Michel, who was born in your 04 July 1811 records.
I have only one Jean (Baptiste) Mousseau listed, son of Joseph Mousseau & M.Madeleine David, Joseph's 2nd marriage.Joseph's first marriage was with M-Anne Laporte.
My research with LDS & IGI show only 4 children born in Joseph Mousseau & M-Anne Laporte marriage (no Jean):
M. - Josephte Mousseau: b. 21 Feb.1718 @ St. Sulpice
Joseph Mousseau: b. 09 Jan 1720@ St. Sulpice
Marie-Anne Mousseau: b. 19 March 1721/22 @ St. Sulpice
Francois Mousseau: b. 05 Sept 1723 , m.M. Therese L’ARCHEVEQUE.
The next child born was a Jean-Baptiste Mousseau, only after Joseph remarried to M-Madeleine David on 5 Feb. 1725.This Jean was married to a Catherine Lavoie according to my records.
Maybe this is your Jean Mousseau married to M-Amable Ricard?
Also my research records show he died anytime after 1775.He could've married again.(Geez what a stud, eh?)And I have a ? mark he could have married a 3rd time, because I show his 1st wife was M-Catherine FORGET, 2nd was Catherine Lavoie, and 3rd ?.It certainly would solve where I need to put your M-Amable Ricard into the Mousseau tree!
I don't have anything to tell you about M-Amable's 2nd husband, Francois LaRiviere - and the age difference between them.Given the times, it's not like a woman to marry a much younger man is about all I can offer.
If you find anything else, keep me in mind.I'll do the same.
