According to the LDS site Abraham settled in Haverhill MA and died there. This seems very likely because his second wife was Jemima Davis who was from Haverhill, her g grandfather James Davis (1588-1678) was one of the 12 founders of Haverhill in 1640.Their son Rowland and his descendents settled nearby in southern New Hampshire and later Massachusetts. If you look at a map of Hollis NH, just to the east you will see a road named Rideout Road. This road went to James Rideout’s (1741-1809) 1000 acre farm which was still in the family in the 1920s when it was the largest dairy farm in New Hampshire. James was a son of Rowland and Judith Bedell. Then Nicholas son of Abraham and first wife Mary went north to Maine and some of those descendents went to Canada, Newfoundland, New Brunswick etc.Nicholas was a shipwright, and that is not a trade picked up in a day, he came over to America trained in that craft, and plied it, so it is likely that he came from a seacoast town in England. The inland town of Kent is often given as his home but it seems less likely as his point of origin.

Nicholas lived in Falmouth ME which was an 80 square mile stretch of land of what we now know as Portland, Cape Elizabeth, South Portland and Westbrook.

My line, Abraham, Rowland, James, David, Luke, William, Carl,Edward my father.
