I was intrigued by your message because I remembered seeing the Aldrich name several times in my research. I think I have your answer. Your ancestors lived close to mine, so I happened to have the 1850 census data handy. I also included the other Aldrich's and Rifle's in the county since they may be related. For Adan and Abel, they lived only two households apart (maybe Abel is the father of Adan?) Another interesting note is that Arurah Aldrich was directly above (young) Amos Rifle in Hamlin Twp. For the extra people I didn't list all the children in the household, just the head, his age, and place of birth.
