Hi JC Thanks yes I do have this information and I have been to the Rigg reunion the last 2 years.I have my doubts that John is Ahijah son. Just circumstantial butGeorge Rigg had 3 sons John Robert Thornton (my ancestor) in 1810 census PA. Washinton Co Pike Run.George with 3 boys under 10.In 1830 he was in Harrison Co Ohio. Robert Married Loveice Fessel John Married Mary ann Fessel Brothers married sisters?. George had land with John Robert Thornton makes sense it would be with his sons. John on 12 Jan 1833 gave $100.00 bond on George Rigg wife Mary Ann to appear in court on Assult and battery charges. I'm sure it was for his mother, Thats a lot of money in 1833. You just probley would not do unless a family member. In 1850 census John and wife Anna and children were in Lykens Twp Crawford county. Robert and his 2nd wife Margaret and family were close byLooks like brothers living by each other.Just some of the reasons I think John is the son of George Rigg. The George Rigg shown as the son of Clement did die in 1776 and his son was named George Jr. Not our George. So unless Clements wife Sara Clark had another son George he is not related to Clement. And only the one George shows in the willAnother mystery.
Thornton Rigg Daughter Mary Ann married John Rigg son Joseph Palmer Rigg so we are related that way also.I am trying to find if anyone out there knows where Ahijahs son John may have gone. Or information on him Dixie
