My g Grandfather James RIGSBY was b. 1811 in England, I don't know where.

According to marriage & death records & US census, he was the son of John
RIGSBY
b. Scotland and mother Ellen. He married Ellen McGOLDRICK b. Ireland in
New York City
in 1851

He lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York City where he died in
1889. His occupation was a cork cutter.

Does anyone have an idea where I might look for RIGSBY'S in England and
Scotland ?
Thanks very much in advance.

response:
