My interest is through Elvira Voss Rittenberry who was the sister of my great-grandmother.John William Rittenberry was born February 24, 1834 and died May 28, 1898.Elivira applied unsuccessfully for a Confederate pension.In that file one of the letters was from Alma Rittenberry.I know that Alma was a writer and that she campaigned to rename a highway in honor of General Jackson.I have collected some information on their children but only know when 2 of them died.The children were William B., Edward V., John Bell, Nathaniel Vibricius, Lavonia Lillie, and Eugene Berry.
