I got lot of informations about the Rix family in Denmark. There is 3 or 4 lines of Rix's in Denmark.
The youngest line is from when Denmark had Preussia(or what it is called in english), Northen Germany/Poland. A Pressia Soldier named Rix had made love with a girl. I can't find the recordings at the moment.
Another line is from Sweden. A Great Hunter(don't know the title in english), working for the Swedish king was able to take the name through his job title. Later he or his children moved to Denmark. I can't find him at the moment.
The next line is recorded in my FamilyTreebook, but i am not in family with him, or maybe? Niels Andersen Rix (B. 1752, D. 1824)
The oldest line is my line, descend from Søren Andersen Rix (B. 1677, D. 1759). Maybe someone has some earlier recordings? In the mid 18-century some took the name Brønderslev.
I don't know how we got the name Rix since my ancestors lived in the same area of Denmark as most of them do today.
I hope this can help someone at some time :) Also if you have any questions or wants to ask for a name, please send me an email :)
