My Thomas Foster must have been born c 1745 or before, since his daughter Ann was married in 1787, but I don't have enough information on the probable age of Elizabeth Smith Foster to determine whether she could have been is mother.I also see that Alexander Reade mentioned his mother Elizabeth Smith in his 1759 will.
My Charles Roane seems to have been born before 1750 since he had a daughter old enough to marry in 1791--because no consent is recorded, I'm assuming Lucy was at least 21.There was also a Beverley Roane in Charles T Roane'shousehold for several years who seems to have been born c 1769 or before--perhaps a son who died young.
While my Charles could have been the son of Charles and Ann Roane of Middlesex born in 1752, I think he was probably somewhat older.
An older Charles Roane is mentioned in Stratton Major Parish records in the early decades of the 18th century who may have been his father.
Major Roane, a contemporary of the younger Charles, could have been his brother.Major had sons Spencer and Ira Roane and two daughters.Ira was the first husband of my Mary Littlepage.
