HI, as far as records go, I only have copies of pages from 'Genealogies of Virginia Families' V.V, R-Z, and a copy of some papers compiled by a Dolores Jean Robards VanB___ can't read the name, it's not a very good copy.
What I have lists Elizabeth Lewis as William's 2nd wife but had no name for the first, although the year the first wife died was listed as well as the four children.Note, what I have states the daughter's name was Jean, no birthdate, only that she married Samuel in 1773.
Dolores' papers have 7 children for William and Elizabeth, and there are references to Kentucky throughout the children's info.
John P. Robards/George Robards/William Robards Sr.
Then John P. moved to Illinois in 1871, the Olney/Noble area. That's where my husband is from.
The oldest ancestor mentioned in actual records I have for my husband is Charles M. Robards who is mentioned in his son's obit (Cecil Monroe Robards d.1957).Charles is the son of the above John P.
I am very guilty of working more on my own families' lines, than on my husband's.
