The Autumn/Winter 2007 issue of ANTIQUES AND FINE ART magazine on p. 79 pictures in an advertisement two portraits of Matthew & Lucinda Robbin of New England or New York, USA, by the artist John C. Brewster, Jr. (1766-1854). Brewster travelled throughout New England and New York painting portraits. No other family information accompanies the portraits in the advertisement. The portraits themselves are undated but are likely to be early to mid-nineteenth century.
These fine portraits should be made known to the Robbin family. I am scanning them in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have them--they are too good to be missed by the family. They may not have extensive genealogy value, but they certainly do have a whole lot of family and historic value.

If they were portraits of a Pease family, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
