I was surfing the internet and saw your posting. It may be that we are distant cousins. My mother is in her seventies now. Her maiden name was Bernice G. Gannon, and she was born in Biddeford, Maine. She now lives in Jackson, Michigan. Her father's name was James Gannon and I believe that her mother's maiden name was Virginia Robin. My mother was born late in her mother's life--a "surprise" baby. The family moved from Maine to Michigan around the time of WWII. I understand they lived for a time in downriver Detroit (Ecorse or Wyandotte), and then moved to Jackson, Michigan. My mother had two older siblings--a brother, James Gannon and a sister, Gertrude. Both are now dead. I never met my mother's parents, and can't say that I know very much about them. I do remember that my mother said that her mother was French Canadian, and that when she got excited about something she would babble on in French--no one could understand what she was saying. I Hope this useful.
