While researching my husband' DUTY line, I found this info:
Nancy DUTY m Abner ROBINSON, Christian Co., KY
Abner s/o Col. James ROBINSON, brothers, James and Green or Gri. Abner died in Wilson Precint, Christian Co., KY (no date given).
Tradition says, Col. James ROBINSON of NC came to Christian Co., KY as early as 1788 and built a cabin in the Wilson Precint.
James s/o Col. James ROBINSON commanded a regiment under Gen. JACKSON in the battle of New Orleans, was the Captain of the Regulators and also died in Wilson Precinct.
Green ROBINSON, the youngest of the brothers, killed in the Black Hawk War.
Col. James ROBINSON had 3 daughter, Patsy, Mahala and Nancy. The first married McFARLAND, the second Hugh WILKINS, and Nancy was killed by the falling limb of a tree when a child.
It appears that Col. James ROBINSON died in Port Royal (no date given).

I am also researching the surname BASSE/BASS in Kentucky and noticed the surname BASS as one of the early pioneers of Christian Co., KY.
I am part of the ROBERTSON/ROBINSON line from NC/TN, but have never heard of this family.
Any information would be appreciated,
