In contact with a Robles family from the Ciales and Jayuya area I was given the following genealogy: Julio Robles, born in Ciales, is the son of Agripino Robles Torres who was born in Adjuntas. Agripino was a descendant of Pedro Robles who was born in Ponce about 1725. I understand that some or all of the siblings of Julio Robles were born in Jayuya but were registered in Ciales. Both Julio Robles and his nephew Aladino (Aladino’s father was Miguel Robles) did DNA test and there was a match with me and a relative of mine named Néctor Robles (Néctor’s great-grandfather was my grandfather’s brother). As I mentioned before, by family is from Fajardo and in turn, the Robles from Fajardo, Luquillo and other towns in the eastern side of the island descend from the Robles of Manatí. We all have the same story that our ancestors came from the Canary Islands, Spain.
