We're here, in Wyoming. We have what is supposed to be documented info about "the guys" being jailed in France for Hugunot beliefs, released to captain a ship for Lafayette who was being soldiers to America to assist Geo. W.After Lafayette headed north to GW's camp the men jumped ship, took the name of their home LaRochelle(France) and proceeded to establish themselves here. One is supposed to have headed to the Carolinas, the other went north, fought until Cornwallis fell, went onto Newton, NJ and onto the west in further generations. No crown jewels in our past, but an interesting story. Two uncles did research during the 20's to 40's. Another uncle confirmed info when he took a geneology class at Casper College a couple decades ago. We would love to share info. e-mail is to Kay, email@example.com. 83 Rochelles of Wyoming attended a reunion in Cheyenne Aug. 2000.Let us hear from you!
