Good Morning Darren..I have been emailing with Judy & she has been trying to help me sort all this information out..Seems we might have a mystery here or something...Could very possibly be that I am misunderstanding something too!!
Here is the information I have on my grandfather Alfred L.Rockhold. He was born in KY and had three sisters named Gladys, Grace & Nellie.. One brother named Ottis..I remember Aunt Grace lived in Meridian Idaho, married into the Gish family & had three daughters named Pearl, Haddie & Nellie.
Alfred married my grandmother Dulcie Parker & they had three children.. The first child was Lloyd Carroll Rockhold born 1-30-1907, died Nov, 1975. The second child was Gladys Rockhold born 10-29,1909 & is still living in CA.. The third child was also named Alfred..I don't know the date of birth but he was afterthe other two children and only lived 6 months. He is buried in Meridian Idaho..
I spoke with my aunt last night & she said Alfred Rockhold, her father, is also buried in Meridian Idaho...Alfred died at a young age, 24, from tyfoid fever..
Lloyd Rockhold, son of Alfred & Dulcie Parker Rockhold, married my mother Berneice Coleman..I was born Muriel L Rockhold on July 22, 1940 in Boise Idaho..I later changed my name to Debbie..Lloyd died in Nov, 1975 Los Angeles CA & is buried in the San Fernando Valley CA.
Gladys Rockhold, daughter of Alfred Rockhold & Dulcie Parker Rockhold, married Charles Bates on July 7, 1930..They had one child Jackie Bates in 1936..Gladys is still living in CA...
Alfreds wife, Dulcie Parker Rockhold remarried twice after his death..She died in Salt Lake City Utah & is buried there..
I hope this information helps you in any way. But I wonder if we have been talking about the same Alfred? Maybe not?Remember he died at 24 yrs old after his three children were born in 1907, 1909, and a third son born after that.. So maybe Alfred died around 1911 or 1912?My aunt swears he's buried in Meridian Idaho along with the baby son Alfred..
Please let me know anything you find on this side of the family...I'm new at this, but very interested in any info...Thanks Darren. Debbie
