I have been researching records from the Parrishes of Barbadoes and have found information on the Rodman family. I am listing my findings so all other Rodman researchers can up date or correct there material.

Thomas Rodman who is believed to be the father of John Rodman of Barbadoes died in Christ Church Parrish July 26, 1656.This Thomas may have embarked for Barbados and St Christophers in the Ann and Elizabeth in 1635 at age 16 per Hotten,s List, page 70.

The petition of Henry Odiama, Esq., administrator on the estate of Thomas Barnes, against Thomas Rodman, Apr. 19, 1671, shows that the said Rodman and his wife did not take out administration on the estate of Thomas Pead deceased.

John Rodman of Christ Church Parrish in Barbados, chyurgion, now of the colony of Rhode Island, and Mary his wife, lately called Mary Scamon, only daughter and heiress of John Scamon some time of said Island, planter, sell to James Ayeford of St Thomas, planter,for 200 pounds, a plantation of 33 acres in St Thomas, 10 February, 1683/4.
Acknowledged at Rhode Island 6 June 1684 before William Coddington, Governour, at his New Lodge near Newport.
