AMELIA "NELL" BOSWELL
Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia "Nell" Boswell, 84, of the Anderson Community near Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2003, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.
Burial was in Phillips Cemetery with Rev. Walt Phillips and Rev. Delmer McCowan officiating.
Mrs. Bowsell died Saturday, October 11 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. She was a homemaker.
Born May 29, 1919, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Caroline Roebuck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Boswell; a sister, Helen Schoenman; four brothers, John Roebuck, Amos Roebuck, Fred Roebuck, and Walter Roebuck; and a great granddaughter, Melissa Amanda Phillips.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Phillips and her husband, Harlon, of the Anderson Community; a sister, Jenny Slater Nelson of Valencia, PA; two brothers, Joseph Roebuck of Dalton, FL, and Ed Roebuck of California; four grandsons, Jerry Phillips and his wife, Becky, Walt Phillips and his wife, Cindy, John Phillips and his wife, Anita, and Bob Phillips and his wife, Luanna; a granddaughter, Ronda Johnson and her husband, Tim; 11 great grandchildren, Mike Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Brad Phillips, Julie Phillips, Brandon Phillips, Luke Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Brandy Mc-Cants, Jacob Johnson, and Joshua Johnson; a sister-in-law, Onalee Bainter of Kettering, OH; a brother-in-law, George Boswell of California; and the special nurses and CNAs at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center.
