Frank! I'm so thrilled that you wrote.I am a relative of Annie Roemisch. Her parents were Joseph and Theresia (Wagner) Roemisch.I don't know much about her except for what Bud Swendner has shared.Bud was generous enough to send me a copy of the marriage certificate of Annie and Frank which I think is wonderful as well as a picture of Joseph and his two siblings (at that time - I didn't know there was 8 children in the family).
I was gathering information on my family to present to my dad at his 70th birthday party this past December.I came across family members that dad or his siblings knew nothing about.Annie was one of them. What little information I had on her was intriguing to my aunts and uncles.I must say that all the information was and five of them requested copies of what I found so they could learn about their family.I thought that was a compliment in itself.
The only information I have on Annie is that she was born in Austria.Annie had two siblings - Joseph and Mary. Shedied on December 18, 1903 in Oklahoma City.(December 18th also happens to be my dad's birthday!)Anyway, Bud told me that she died giving birth to twins but only Joseph survived.I never knew the sex of the other child until your posting.
My information shows that Annie and Frank Biermeier were married on November 20, 1900 in Shiner, Texas by Rev. M. Vaculik.Frank was the son of Josef and Katherina (Gerdes) Biermeier. He was born on December 3, 1878 in Germany and died December 22, 1932 in North Plains, Oregon.
Bud had told me that Frank was living in Shawnee, OK at the time of Joseph's birth and later moved to St. Paul, MN where he later married Katherine Gaerth and started a new family.
If you would like for me to send you the information I have on the Roemisch family, I'd be glad to share it with you.If you don't mind sharing your information on Joseph, I'd love to have it to put in my book.
Please feel free to email me at:email@example.com.
I'm glad you posted and I hope to hear back from you. Take care, Marie (Roemisch) Dickey
