Hello cousin! *smile* http://gen.texsteve.comhttp://gen.texsteve.com has a number of the Roffs in the Surname index.. probably one of the more complete collections (includes much of Mildreds book) (and not just saying this cuz its my site *grin*).. I would love to tell you about the ancestors of Joseph T. and Kate Liptka Roff.. but i dont have it yet.. there were a NUMBER of Roffs in new jersey but havent been able to tie them to them.. you have a cousin in Ada (descended from Charles Roffs brother henry) who has been hacking at this but i havent heard from here in quite some while. I am not off the charles line.. i am from his brother Joseph (Joseph and Kate had 4 boys... Joseph, Henry, Charles, and Freeman).. all of whome eventually moved west.. Joseph, Charles, and Freeemen appear to have ended in texas, while henry went up to kansas)Your cousins are widespread and have had their moments of note.. Your gg-grandpa Joe T. Roff had two brothers who are on the US MArshals service roll of honor.. killed serving as deputy marshalls on a manhunt for outlaws in Chickasaw nation in 1885.Several served in the civil war.. Joe T. founded the town of Roff, basing on his old ranch. If you go to ardmore , the reconstructed Roff dog-trot cabin is in the Great Southwest Museum (rather.. sits across the street from it) I have your line as far as Joe D., but not beyond.. i would love to add out whatever folks you can help me with!
