I´m looking for information on my grandparents, Frank (Francis) and Julia Roll, née Szot, who lived in Wisconsin between 1910 and 1920. I was told that three of their children, born between 1911 and 1915, died in a house fire in the mid-1910s, and that only the oldest son, Joseph (Joe), born 1911, survived. The next child, Edward, was born in Oskkosh in 1915, and there were more children born later. The family moved to Chicago some time between 1915 – 1920. I found them in the 1920 Census listed as living in Chicago with five children.
My grandfather Frank Roll also had an older brother, Joseph, and a sister Karolina – and there might have been more brothers or other Roll relatives living in this area. Has anyone heard of this Roll family or knows anything about what happened to the three children who got killed? There must at least have been a note in the newspaper.
