Found records in Davidson Co., TN on Isaac Rolston as follows:
Reg., of Deeds, Davidson Co., TN, Vol A - 1784 - 1787
#481 - Ralston, Isaac - Grant
North Carolina gave Issac and his brother, Robert each a land grant in Tennessee after the Rev War they both fought in. I do not know yet if they filed on the land but will be sending for copies of those records.
I also found this on Isaac Rolston in Logan County, Kentucky:Micro., files - Box #2 - #164 -317 - 1796 - 1798 Court Records from Western KY., University Case #184 - Pg 2 - Contents: Note, Isaac Rolston to John Kigore, Ralston absconded [means: Flee from Justice] Also case #178 - Isaac Rolston.
This happening in Logan Co., is possibly why his wife Nancy only recieved $1.00 in her father's will in Barren Co., KY. Makes you wounder how a man could use his own money to help buy supplies for the Rev War and then run from other debts. I have more inf., on Isaac Rolston and will be glad to share. Thanks.
