ROMANS Lon Romans, Jr., age 77, of Mount Sterling, OH, passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2007 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Circleville. He was born in 1929 in Crum, WV, the eldest son of the late Lon Romans Sr. and Colista Marcum Romans. Also preceding him in death were two infant sisters Bertha Ellen and Glenna Hope, sister Maxine Moore and brother James Romans, brothers-in-law Edward Moore and Thomas Freund. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose Marie Kragiel Romasn; brothers, Ernest Romans (Melissa) Elkins, WV, Cecil Romans (Brenda), Logan, OH, Darrell Romans (Renee), Grove City, OH; sisters, Minerva Giffen (Bernard), Grove City, OH; and Tonyia Freund, Grove City, OH; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews also survive. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired pipe-liner of over 50 years. He was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18; also a member of the Masonic Temple Jewel Lodge No. 140, Crum, WV and the Aladdin Shrine of Columbus, OH. Lon's family will receive friends at the O. R. WOODYARD CO, CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Columbus, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. with Reverend Tim Stout officiating. Interment at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. A special thank-you to the staff at Mount Serling Place and SunBridge for the comfort and care they provided.
