Chances are very good that this is a member of my Romans family. The Wilders and Romans moved to Michigan from New York and had large families.I'm unsure how your Romans connects to mine, but here is what I have so far:
Leah Romans was the daughter of Peter Milo and Catharina Van Deusen Romans. They had the following children, according to Priscilla Romans Hexter, who has done extensive research into the Romans family:
Barent b. 1784 Lea b. 1787 Robert Cornelius b. 1790 Maria "Mina" b. 1792 d. 1865 Margaret b. 1794 Gertrude b. 1796 Hubertus b. 1797 Peter Milo b. 1804 d. 1878 John b. 1806 d. 1878
Peter Milo Romans b. 1804 married Harriet Ruth Woodward in New York. They moved to Michigan in the late 1840's.They had born to them:
Squire Peter b. 1833 d. 1899 Edwin (or Edward) H. b. 1836 d. 1894 Jane b. 1838 John b. 1840 Clement b. 1842 Ellen Maria b. 1844 d. 1921 Barnard (Bart) b. 1846 d. 1926 Manly b. 1848 Milo Bernard b. 1849 d. 1919 Justus (Justice, Judd) b. 1851 d. 1933
All of this information was given to me by Priscilla Romans Hexter, who is the great granddaughter of Peter Milo Romans b. 1804.I do not know which of Peter's sons was her grandfather, but I do know that she and her brothers live on the West coast: California and Oregon, which leads me to speculate that her branch of the family migrated out west.
I hope this helps.
Peter Milo Romans Sr. was the son of Bernard Romans, who was quite famous. If you do a Google search for him, you'll find much information.
