Mary L. Rominger dod and cemetery question 1850's
Can anyone give a clue to date of death and/or burial spot of Mary L. Rominger, daughter of Joshua Rominger, Ashe County, NC? Joshua was son of Michael Rominger.
Mary L. married Benjamin James (BJ) Farmer pre Civil War and had two sons. I am decendent of son Wiburn (also written as Welborn, William, and W.A.)who was born approx. 1857. Mary died pre Civil War, and Benjamin James Farmer left the two children with his father Thomas Farmer in Ashe County to explore Missouri with his uncle Jesse Farmer. The war and BJ's enlistment in the Missouri Guard severed family ties for decades. Wilburn is buried in Craven Cemetery, Ray County, MO. BJ was in Arkansas post war, had two more wives and large families and is buried in Confederate section of National Cemetery in Little Rock.
We have found cemetery listngs for Ashe County Farmers and Romingers, but nothing on Mary L. Rominger. Her sister, Sarah C. Rominger, married an Eastridge and is buried in Payne Cemetery, Payne Gap, Forge Creek, Johnson County, TN, which I believed used to be part of NC.
Any information on Mary L. Rominger Farmer would be welcomed, along with information on her father.
