Dear Rosevear Family members,
In 1985 and 1990, we attended Rosevear Family Reunions in Cornwall, England, organized by Bob and Ione Roseveare. We very much enjoyed these gatherings, as did our children. We met a large number of cousins and found a new appreciation of our wonderful extended family.
Bob Roseveare published the family history in a series of booklets for the 1985 and 1990 Reunions. The remarkable history includes a handwritten, 165-page family tree with over 11,400 names starting in the late 1400s. This history is now almost 20 years old, however, and with Bob’s blessing, we plan to publish a new comprehensive history in early 2005.We will call this new book The Rosevear Family History.
Bruce and I have spent over a year entering the names of family members in a computerized family tree.We have done our best to enter the names accurately, but in a project like this, errors do occur. We would like to make the new edition of the family tree as correct as possible. We will be happy to send you our current information so that you can update it. Since there are many living Rosevears with the same first names, to send you the correct information, please provide us with your parents’ names and birthdates—and your grandparents if possible. After we make the additions and corrections we will send you confirmation of the final version for the book.
One of the purposes of this Family History is to bring our extended family together. If you would like us to include your email address, street address, or telephone number, we would be happy to include this information as well.
We want to include family photographs. If you would like your family pictures to be included in the book, please send up to four photographs by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or regular mail.If we have space, we will use all of them.In case we can’t fit all four, please note the priority for use on the back of each photo so that we can follow your preferences.
If you have any questions or comments about the project—or anything Rosevear-related—please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.We love to hear from both long-lost and well-established kin.
