Looking for Martin Rovik
I am looking for Martin Rovik born in Norway 1894 and died in Pinellas Florida in 1976. He was a hired hand for Andrew Olson in 1920 census in Minnesota. I believe he married Andrews daughter Olga in 1921. A search for a Olga Rovik shows she died in 1922, ten months after her wedding. I tried to order her obituary, but the library didn't keep copies that far part. I think she might have died in child birth, but am still trying to verify it. I think this because I found a Unnamed Rovik born 30 Jan 1922 to a mother maiden name Olson and Olga's obituary publish date is 02 Feb 1922. I am not sure whether or not the child survived as there is no name given to follow and there are no other Rovik deaths recorded that year in Minnesota with Olga.
Martin is not on the Olson family census, nor a child, in 1930. So if the child survived, he/she went with Martin. A search from ancestry shows Martin ended up in Florida where he died. Martin was the son of Johanneson Anderson Rovik and Jorgine Jorisdtr Eik Rovik. He immigrated to America in 1909 per 1920 census. I hope someone can shed light on this family and can verify if he was indeed married to Olga Olson.
Thank you
