I find Christopher Rowe involved in land transactions with Thomas MCADAMS in Orangeburgh, SC in 1768 and 1769.However, I do not show a daughter of Christoher Rowe marrying Thomas McAdams.
Christopher ROWE was born about 1715 in Scotland.From there, he immigrated in the 1730s to South Carolina.He married (1) 21 Dec 1737, in St. Philips, Charles Town, South Carolina, Margaret HESSY, born Basel, Switzerland (daughter of Henry Hessy and Elizabeth ______).They settled in what is now Orangeburgh County, SC about 1740. Their children: (1) Henry Christopher Rowe baptized 8 Dec 1738 married Anna ______. (2) Regina Barbara (also called Rachel ) Rowe baptized 27 Apr 1740 1.She married (1) in Orangeburgh, South Carolina about 1758 Andrew GOVAN. She married (2) William HILL (he died before 11 Apr 1789) (3) Samuel Jeremiah Rowe born 6 Aug 1744, baptized 15 Aug 17441, married Margaret POU born 1745 SC (daughter of Gavin Pou and Margaret MURENO (4) Maria Roweborn 25 Oct 1751, died 19 Feb 1752
Christopher Rowe married (2) 7 June 1771, to Ann, the widow of Colonel John CHEVILLETTE.According to Salley's History, she was the widow Susannah HEPPERDITZEL at the time she married Colonel Chevillette in 1745.His children with wife #2: (5) Christopher Rowe, Jr. born 1772 died 1773. (6) Ann Rowe born 9 Mar 1775, married about 1795 James Otis PRINTISS (7) Capt Donald Christopher Rowe b. 24 Jan 1777 Orangeburgh, SC, married 22 Apr 1807 Ann RICKENBACKER (daughter of Jacob Rickenbacker2).She was widow of William SABB.
Christopher Rowe died between the date of the making of his will 23 Apr 1787 and 8 February 1788.
